Postdoctoral Researcher (former)
Yumiko designs and studies learning environments that support learner motivation and confidence through online/in-person creative activities. In Playful Journey Lab, she works on Beyond Rubrics project as a project manager and research lead designing and conducting interviews, surveys, and observations to understand how embedded assessment may enable students and teachers in maker classrooms better understand their learning. Yumiko holds an Ed.D. in Communication in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
