Assessment Scientist
Grace is an Assessment Scientist at the Playful Journey Lab. She looks forward to collaborating with teachers and educators to develop assessments that are not only fun and psychometrically sound, but also meaningful and impactful. Prior to joining MIT, Grace was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Oregon where she built the first iterations of the rating systems for the psychometric properties and cultural/linguistic relevance of a variety of early childhood measures. She also provided research support to a number of community organizations. In her “spare” time, she is developing a VR game for assessing risk propensity with her friends. She holds a BA in Psychology from New York University, an EdM in Mind, Brain, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a PhD in Education from the University of California, Irvine.
